<3d2c4e27> The war on some drugs brought in a lot of money. Biden led the charge to get military grade equipment in police hands. Police unions made it hard to get bad cops fired. Cops who ever dared to report on other cops get ostracized and eventually leave. Prosecutors need cops to testify for them to get convictions and so, of course, they won’t prosecute cops.
<3d2c4e27> Now the question is what can be done quickly to reverse the trends…
<3d2c4e27> 1. End qualified immunity for law enforcement. Supreme Court needs to jump on that right now. There are cases in the docket.
<3d2c4e27> 2. Cities need to require all police to have liability insurance. (BTW such insurance is required for elected constables in many jurisdictions.)
<3d2c4e27> 3. Reclassify cannabis as non-schedule 1.
<3d2c4e27> 4. Cap civil asset forfeiture at $100 per incident.
<3d2c4e27> These things can be done without rewriting any laws. It is just incumbent on the SC, President and local juriditions to get on it.

<3d2c4e27> I need to mention Larry Sharpe as the source for these particular measures. See his Sunday YouTube post on his SharperWay channel.
