The whole rent strike thing… people are also calling for a general strike (though most of them are out of work anyway)… this shit is really really bad and being done on purpose. Progressives are exploiting the fuck out of this situation and are absolutely working in tandem with CCP for political opportunism. Nobody on the left has any genuine interest in turning around the economy in the short term and have totally bought into the idea that were going to be locked down for a year even though China has resumed production. Not a single motherfucker out there will give me a straight answer how China can be back up and running so quickly and not spread the virus anymore. It just makes me so incredibly pissed I dont know what to do. And when I see these fucking commies celebrating rent strikes, totally not giving any shit about the repercussions of that, and laughing at landlords’ misfortune as if rent is inherently oppression and they should be able to squat where the fuck they want … I get that they are broke now but guess what- they were broke before too demanding this shit for a long time.
