<21c2e595> on that med thing joe spoke of, i have a personal exp that opened the rabbit hole in the med field for me.. i had a bone tumor in my leg when i was a teenager. I just graduated and had to go into surgery right afterwards. since i was 14 or so i couldnt bend my leg past 90 degrees from the knee. I could still play sports and all that jazz and it didnt hurt me. i kept telling my parents tho, we need to get an xray or something done. this was like a rock right next to my kneecap, it was very weird but im a teen and am like whatever for the most part. we went a few times and the doc and all they told us it was cause i grew to fast in a spurt and it would correct itself over time. i was like uhh, ok but that sounds off but what do i know… then it got bigger and we go right before graduation. we go to yet another doctor and he refers me to a orthopedic. After seeing him later that same week he tells me i immediately need to have surgery and go to MD Anderson in Houston.

So they let me graduate and the following week i went to Htown for the surgery. I get all kinds of tests done. MRIs, cat scans, the works. It was intense. MD Anderson is an awkward place to say the least. So after my what was supposed to be 4hr surgery, which goes mostly well except them cutting my artery and giving me like 7 or 8 pints of blood transfusion. It now turned into 9 hrs. Anyway, im ok and the next day or so im doing phys therapy. I get called into a room with the surgeon and chemo doctor. They called my tumor low to intermediate grade malignant. They then recommend i do chemo and radiation. I just turned 18 and I ask them, can i have my parents in the room plz so i can bounce off them for advice? They tell me that i cannot since i am 18 now and i need to make the decision for myself. I was absolutely shocked… They then handed me a book of side effects that was almost 2 inches thick. I scan through it and it pretty much says that anything can go wrong with your body or stop working. No liability now! … They say, you need to do a full treatment cycle of 2 years of chemo and radiation to make sure you dont go into remission. I ask them, well if i have a low to intermediate grade why do i do the full cycle and not an adjusted rate? They spew some shit about
